In the case of serious illness there
is always a doctor on duty. Patients should contact the surgery telephone number
on 0121 744 2025 where you will be given further instructions.
A telephone answering service may intercept your call and provide you with the
number of the duty doctor. This practice is a member of Badger Out of Hours Co-operative
and you will be offered advice, an emergency consultation or a home visit, as
appropriate.
Patients can always obtain general medicine advice via NHS direct 24 hour service
by phoning 0845 4647 or via the website: www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.
Alternatively, patients can use the Birmingham NHS Walk-In Centre, Lower Ground
Floor, Boots The Chemists Ltd, 65 High Street, Birmingham, B4 7TA, which is open
from early morning to late evening and offers treatment of minor illnesses and
injuries.
